PI/CPC is another vital working part of Alcoholics Anonymous which is allied with NorCal Intergroup. The PI stands for public information. This committee provides to the general public information such as meeting schedules and pamphlets to learn about Alcoholics Anonymous. This includes health fairs, high schools, drunk driving schools, and stocking libraries with conference approved AA literature., etc. The CPC stands for cooperation with professional community. Volunteers present to professionals, whose jobs bring them in frequent contact with alcoholics, information which would be beneficial for the suffering alcoholic. This gives a clear understanding of what Alcoholics Anonymous can do. Information is presented to doctors, nurses, parole and peace officers, clergy and judges among others.
